OK .......So today when i was in school my 1st hour class is health,And the 1st thing we talked about is that this is diabetes mouth. So she asked how many people have diabetes and i was the onley one. Well she was talking about pop and how it is bad for u And she said that for a class thing that we would see how many of us are offered pop And so are class thing is that we cant have pop intell next monday. And i was think i kown how i can do this i will get on Juvenation and i think they can help me with this. So i need the help For u guys to help me not drink pop intell next monday!!!!
buy yourself a box of crystal light single packs. when you want pop, grab a bottle of water and mixn a packet. that's how i avoid drinking pop. as well, i drink juice instead and just bolus for the carbs. i love juice, especially apple. haha. or grab a thing of milk if you're in a store, instead of pop. i dont like drinking just straight water, so i've found those things help a lot. i go through a box of single crystal light packages in about..a week in a half, two weeks. they have a bunch of different flavours to, my fav is the strawberry banana tho.
I like Crystal Light too, but I've also recently discovered the 0 calorie Sobe water, and the "10 calorie" Vitamin Water... but be careful, it's 10 calories per serving, not 10 calories in the whole bottle. The bottle is 2.5 servings. Anywho, both are pretty tasty when I want something besides water or coffee. :)
10 calarie vitamin water is soooo good the xxx berry one is my fav... and its made with stevia (a natural sweetner) instead of any of that other stuff like splenda etc which isnt the best for you... diet snapple apple (if u can find it) is sooooo good too lol... & crystal light fruit punch

Glad this wasn't my class or teacher. What does pop have to do with Type 1 Diabetes? We (people at this forum) always talk about educating others, personally I would have used this as a chance to tell people that no matter how little or how much pop I drink (diet or not) there is no way to prevent Type 1 Diabetes. I would probably then go into T2 and how too much sugar/corn syrup over time can lead to insulin resistance. I am not advocating that soda pop (diet or not) is good for you, I just don't think that soda pop is an accurate way to educate people about Diabetes. Best of luck to you though :)
