Then when i got home my mom figured out it was my figured out it was my fingers the whole time lol

Thank you, I tried :)
Speaking of the smell, I had an infusion site run away on me today. I had changed it this morning to an area I normally did not use. I bolused for breakfast and almost fell over in pain, but I worked through it all. By lunchtime bolus I felt nothing. Which was odd, but I just figured it settled it self. The infusion set did settle itself. Right out of the site. Oh well, that is what the emergency back up supplies are for. But I was sitting at lunch with a bunch of priests, smelling what was obviously me, wondering if it was a leak or my hands. I went to the bathroom washed my hands, checked the site and decided it was the site... Good thing my insulin was not Caesar salad scented. I would never have known.
the smell ? i never smelled it... its allways in the little bottle , OR in the needle... when do u have time 2 smell it ? lol ?
It has been known to leak on us from time to time. Most of us try not to smell it.

ha ha ha ha ha ha
That was awesome.
I usual make time after lunch or before I go for my evening walk. ha ha ha
i could not even describe the smell..but actually, bandaids sound like a pretty spot-on description. the smell always reminds me of a hospital..ahaha i hate changing my pump before dinner because the smell (or stench, more like) makes me lose my appetite ahah
i actually love the smell of insulin! one time i managed to get insulin into a chicken nuget and after like an hour i was 57 or something like that
I decided to taste my Lantus too. Unique flavor, having a hard time pinpointing it. Almost an orajel taste and it hangs out on the tongue like it too.

I wonder if rubber is an ingredient in oragel.
Thanks for experimenting Joe.
Yeah no problem. Cracked open an adult beverage to get rid of that funky taste.
Now there's a thought...
it's a good thing we have men and women out there brave enough to try out what insulin tastes like. i've always wanted to know but was always too big of a chicken to do so. as for the smell of insulin it is still on the newer side for me and i can't stand it and neither can my friends or 13 year old sister.
Yeah I'll pretty much do anything that resides in the realm of "bad ideas".
