Hey there!
I'm a 21 year old college student, about to be a senior once I finish my last week of classes! Since I was only diagnosed in November, I don't know any other Type Ones except for my little sister (who was diagnosed at age 7). It'd be nice to make some new friends I can hang out with who understand what it's like to live with diabetes! (And just to make some new friends, in general!) :)

To everyone in NoVA, which endo to you see? I've been going to Georgetown ever since college, and my MFM (high-risk OB) was there too. But, I'm curious to know where others go!

hey! i live in arlington, but i actually go to an endo in rockville. not very far, about 20 min right off 270. Dr. David Brown... he's very good. he spent 2 HOURS with me on my first visit. unfortunately that also means unless you have a morning app the waiting room gets a little backed up

There is a support group in Newport News at the Childrens Hospital Surgery Center. We meet the second Monday of every month, except for this month and next month due to a lot of people traveling. I believe it starts at 6:30 and lasts until 7:30. That would be the closest one that I know of for you. But, there is one on the other side of the water in Chesapeake or Va Beach. But I am not sure when they meet. I hope this helps and possibly see you there. If you have any other questions just ask and I will try to help!!
