Obnoxious things you've done while stupidly low in public?

Whether in front of friends, coworkers, or in front of couple strangers, I'm sure we all have those moments where we start getting too low and start acting a little out of character and create situations that we can't explain until it's much too late.

I just remembered one that made me ask this question:

- I was shopping in Walmart late at night on a Sunday last year.  I guess my sugar was dropping for a while because all the sudden while looking at the produce section I just got incredibly caught up in two different size packs of baby carrots for like 10 minutes and couldn't decide which to buy.  I realize I'm low so I make my way to the refrigerated juice aisle.

I pick up a carton of Minute Maid OJ, without really noticing the Walmart employee who's restocking juices just a couple feet from me, and open the lid and rip out the white plastic barrier and just start chugging right out the bottle and probably spilling a couple drops on myself.  When I finally feel I've had enough I screw the lid back on and unabashedly put it back on the shelf and walk off.

I think the Walmart employee is watching me through this whole process and is thinking "WTF?", but seriously, I was retardedly low and wasn't able to explain myself.

Went about the rest of my shopping and by the time I got to the checkout counter I started recovering from my low.  I wasn't mindful enough to go back and get the juice.  And God will I ever feel bad if I find out that someone bought it haha.

That's one of my stories.  I know you guys have your own.  SHARE!

That is hilarious Ideen! :oD  Sorry about the low, but hey, you did what you had to in order to survive, right!

That's not so obnoxious at all...that could be in a movie.

And hey...if you're really feeling bad about it throw a buck down for a juice carton and drop it in the food bank box at the check out next time you're at a supermarket!

;o)

lol..great story!

This is a post I can definitely write about. I used to work at a dime store that had three other stores in the same chain. If you needed a tiny, strange object which you didn't happen to have at your store, you would call another store and say, "I need help on the floor." One fine day, I had a bad insulin reaction. I called the store where I worked and was supposed to report to that afternoon, and when one of my coworkers answered the phone, I said, "I need help on the floor." It was all I could think to say. I kept saying my name and that I needed help on the floor. Finally, after the phone changed hands and pretty much every employee there (most of whom had worked with me for years) had gone through the routine of me saying my name, not responding to anything else, and then declaring that I needed help on the floor, they finally sent someone who worked there to my house to check on the deranged type 1 person. She then called the EMS. I must have left the door unlocked. I have no memory of this encounter. I was so embarrassed...I was ribbed about that for weeks. Sheesh.

Hahaha that's an awesome story.

THESE are the types of moments I'm sure we've all had.  There's no shame in it.  This isn't a thread about how to properly treat lows in retrospect.  We've all had diabetes for long enough to know how to properly treat these, but it still happens to the best of us.  This is all about being able to laugh at ourselves.  C'mon people, I know you want to share!

Haha you can make fun all you want.  It cracks me up to think back to that situation.  Especially thinking about the Walmart employee right next to me...god, what must have been going through his head.  I can't believe he didn't say anything haha.

oh my land i am seriously dying of laughter here, i soo would have done something like that im sure.

my story is when i was at the movies with some friends of mine. we were all sitting in our seats i knew i was going low so i had gotten food, but spilled it in my lap, then proceeded to turn to my friend (who had a regular soda) and started to try and grab the drink from her she was like no this is my drink (she had no clue i was low) i couldn't think straight so i didn't say anything and kept grabbing for her drink. then my other friend was like ok im going to go get some candy for you. then i fell asleep after i got the candy. i woke up at the stupidest part of that movie.
