Need a tattoo design!

There is no way I would suggest just a copy cat of the medical id bracelets that would be boring but making a tat into one in a artistic way is totally doable like the lady in the first blog.  I googled of course and found lots of tasteful ones. Not sterile or holistic at all.

My last word on medical alert tattoo's. Mine is on the inside of my right arm. I asked a Paramedic and he told me it was a great idea, as they often don't have time to look for ID when you are passed out, but they do look for a place for an IV. He took one look at my tattoo and said the first thing I would do if I found you passed out is check your blood sugar, this works for me!!!LOL

I have the medical alert sign and the words type 1 diabetic tattooed on the inside of my left wrist. I googled diabetic tattoos and found some web sites that had some good pictures of people's diabetic related tattoos.

It's all about the artist - not everyone is a great artist and not artists are good with all designs regardless of how long they have been doing them.

I have two from my early 20's - one I still love and one I had removed (quite painful and expensive).  The one I love was drawn freehand - nothing traced. I think a diabetes tat would look great.  It is fun however, to see people with out of date tattoo's. I saw one at the water park last year on the back of a leg - it was Al Bundy from Marrried with children and was about 18" tall. .

oh that is bad lol. I have a list of them that I want 5 or 6 but I am cheap and wont spend money on them even when I have it which isnt often lol. I have one I got for free and well it needs some work to say the least.

How about a sugar molecule with an anti-smoking circle-crossed out?

I have an idea  for one that I want to get at some point.  I am thinking Type 1 Diabetic is script around my wrist with a chain around my wrist, drapping between my thumb and index finger onto my palm attached to a syringe.

Pretty much the same thing for me. My first tat was my design idea and the artisit drew it out and I have no regrets and I want to add to it. My second one came at the spur of the moment when a friend asked me to join her to get her first one and offered to pay for mine. I found a picture on the wall, had it traced to my leg and it turned out looking like a picture in a child's coloring book! I had it done over by someone else where I got my first one, but I still hate it and it's almost always in sight!

I got a bracelet tattooed around my wist, and on top it has the little plate, that says "Type 1 diabetic"
