Carelink/Meter Download

I’m using the 530G system with the Bayer Contour Next Link meter, but I imagine anyone using a linked meter can help. I can’t seem to get Carelink to download my meter readings. I download my pump/sensor, and any readings that were sent to my pump (or manually entered into my pump) show up in the logbook, but not all numbers from my meter are there. I tried clicking on the option to download the meter only and got the same results.

Any ideas? I’m currently pregnant and have to send my logbooks to my doctors weekly for insulin adjustments. They aren’t seeing a full picture from just the sensor graphs, but they don’t know that. I only realized this was happening on Friday.

Just to make sure, under “Select the Device”, you’re selecting Minimed Pump, not the meter, correct? Your current pump serial number is entered, right? (I ask because I hadn’t updated with my latest pump and it was looking for my old one) And under “Check Pump Status”, you’re making sure those four criteria are met?

If yes to all, make sure when you start the download that your Carelink USB (the little white thing) is within just a couple of inches from the bottom of your pump, and keep it still. It draws the data through that little circle next to the Medtronic logo on the bottom of the pump, so you need to make sure they are lined up because it’s super fussy.

I just downloaded to make sure the site was working. I don’t normally click the Logbook tab, but when I did just now I didn’t see anything at all. However, when I went to the Reports tab where I usually go, all my reports were generating. I’m not sure why the Logbook thing doesn’t work for me either, but at least the Reports area (try Logbook Diary) should hopefully give you something for your endo to work with. Best wishes and happy holidays!

Hey @ksmerk12

Have you tried contacting minimed support, I know they have a section just for carelink in the phone options, I am just unsure what that option is. Call the number on the back of the pump they should be able to help you through it I am sure!

I’m afraid I’m not quite sure what you mean? My understanding is that you either upload all of the data in the pump or BG meter or nothing gets uploaded. If you are able to generate any reports that contain recent results from your pump, then the data is getting uploaded and stored on Medtronic’s Carelink database.

If that is the case, then your data is there. It’s just a question of whether or not the report you are generating will display what you want it to.

If you want more confirmation, generate a Data Table report for the day you last uploaded your pump & meter. Be sure to check the boxes for all of the types of pump data to include in the report as illustrated in the screen capture below.

Or, another to go would be to check only the “Meter Glucose” checkbox. That way you could get a report showing which results from your meter are actually stored in the Medtronic database for your CareLink account.

Hope this helps,
