My 4-year-old, Brynne, was just diagnosed this week. My oldest daughter, Ava, also has type 1 and was diagnosed in 2008 when she was 4. Ava also has Celiac disease. She is currently on the Omnipod and Dexcom. Brynne is adjusting slowly but surely. Lots of tears and anxiety and she almost knows too much! She’s already using all of the vocabulary. We are not going to do camp in June because it is just too soon and she is still crying at shot times. Long story short, my two girls can’t see the same endo, so we have some decisions to make. We live in north Plainfield and hope to meet other little kids brine’s age who have type 1.
