The last time I went to the doctor mine was 8.2, but i just got bloodwork done for my kidney doctor and i found out today that my A1C came down to 7.6, i was very happy that it finally came down it has been ove 8 for the last two years.
Mine was 5.8
Wow! That's really good. Mine was 7.5. Some stuff was adjusted on my pump and has been much better lately, so I'm hoping for a better A1C next time. My grandma has type 2 and hers was 5.6. She doesn't take insulin or anything, she is just really careful about what she eats.
I am careful, but i love sweets! So when i went 2 the doc. i was nervous 2 see wat my A1C was, but there was no need because it was 5.4! I was really relived!LOL!
Seriously, 5.4?! How do you manage that? Consistent lows, or you've just managed to have amazing control of your diet/bolusing?
I actually had my lowest number the last time I had it tested with a 5.8% in August, but even that it's a little too low for my comfort. I've been on an oral steroid called Prednisone for the past 2 months which have made my blood sugars skyrocket so I wouldn't be surprised if my A1c has shot up 2 points when I test again.

Showoff. :-)
Just kidding. I tend to be very stable and I don't bounce around too much. I'm always mid-6's. My personal best ever was 6.1. When I was little it was more like 8's.
My last A1C was 6.8 in August but it had been a stressful couple of months. But I just got another A1C drawn on Monday and I'm waiting to hear back about the results. I think this one will be better. I guess we'll see.
Mine was a 6.7. I'm really hoping to get it down to around 6.0 or lower with use of the CGM. Most of my problems come with overnight highs and lows and overtreating lows, so the CGM is going to be a major help with this.
It was 5.7 last time I got it done. :)
just got it back today...
5.5
and really happy =] lowest its ever been w/ only 1 low a week on average and 1 high
I still take shots and all, havent gone over 200 since i got out of the hospital (7 months ago), and dont have too many lows.
6.8 and very very proud!!!
It was a hard earned 6.8!!!
I just got the results back - it was a 6.4 without the CGM. I AM SO HAPPY!
7.0 exactly
7.0 in September
6.9 in May
Nice to be consistent, especially b/c I've been "sliding" for awhile. Eating candy corn since halloween. I WANT to get it better (trying to conceive agian) but not wanting to DO anything about it (the A1c, not the conceiving!). Sort of surprised it hasn't gone up... Excited for the next one since I just got CGM, fixing highs quicker, so has to be better right?
At last check (in October) I was 7.0 (FINALLY).....Still trying for that magical 6.5.....
7.6 but that was almost a year ago. I'm hoping for a sub-7.5 next time I get it checked.
my last one was a 6.1 :)
my lowest ever was a 5.6
I just got back from the doctor today and my A1C went down even more to 7.4 i was so happy!
It's funny, when I was younger (before being a teenager) I always had excellent control, but since then I've been kinda high (~7.7). It feels like no matter how much effort I put it now, my sugars are just so unpredictable. Did anyone else experience this as a teen? I'm adapting now, I'm 19, but I still can't control it as well as I'd like.
When I was younger I was always having readings between 5.5 and 7. But for many years now, I have a hard time getting back down below 8. My last reading was 8.5, but it doesn't seem like I'm consistently high or anything. I have few readings over 200. My endo doesn't seem too worried, but I'd like to really get it down!
I think it gets more difficult the older you get. I'm 41, and have been diabetic for almost 24 years.
im still a teen, but when i was younger, like before 10ish, i was always like 5.0-7.5 and since “becoming” a teen i havent been able to get it below 8.5! its depressing!!!
