sarah im the opposite of you there then. chinese always makes me feel better and helps be stabilize back out. im just glad at the chinese food store that i cant see the nutrition facts. id rather not know and just eat it and feel good. :)
For me, pizza and Chinese weren't too bad, but all cold cereals with milk sent me sky high. I went to a Chinese Buffet tonight and only ate green vegetables, beef, chicken and shrimp with very little or no sauces. I didn't have any soup, no rice, no noodles, no breaded and/or fried dishes and no desserts. I had the string beans, chicken and broccoli, beef and broccoli, grilled shrimp and bok choi (Chinese cabbage). I took a very small bolus, since it was a healthy lo-carb meal, and two hours later my sugar was 74. Now I'm going to have dessert -- sugar free jell-o.
I've been able to do pizza and Chinese food but have not yet had success with Indian food. I may give it another try now that I'm using the CGMS.
See, I don't find ANY foods that are " worst for t1" I ate everthing, well kind of. But there are foods that are hard to calculate. Its hard for me because I can't eat wheat so I eat things made out of potatos and rice. Everythings difficult to calculate!!!!
sorry to hear that you cant eat wheat. you have a double battle over there. good luck to you.
do you have a wheat allergy or do you have the disease where you cant eat wheat. i was reading something in the paper the other day bout a father and daughter who had that. it was wheat and a bunch of other things. cant remember what they had though.

I'm pretty sure you're referring to Celiac disease, but I may be wrong.
Have you tried to replace the sugar mixture with spenda instead of sugar. I really like the buns that way. I haven't made them since 1994.
Mashed potatoes
White Rice
Thai sticky rice (avoid! avoid! It's even worse than white rice)
French Bread
And I only have pizza at lunch, so I have the rest of the day to get back in control.
Pizza!
pizza from Lampost Pizza...they must use more sugar in their sauce...
beer(I know, not food), may as well drink a regular soda
