PS. everyone has their "aggravated" days. just a couple weeks ago i was nearly in tears i was so frustrated with life, diabetes, and everything with them. this is a good place to vent as most of us understand the feeling. because this is on the internet and we can't hear your voice or see your face (we can only read your words) we can't always tell your tone of voice through the computer. it's very easy to misinterpret what someone might be saying.
hope tomorrow is a better day for you! good luck :o)

Thanks C :)
And Paul G thanks for the advice. i think i will try the veggie approach. maybe fruit but i dont really like fruit. Veges....definately.
I like WASA bread and crackers. Except I can't eat it because I have braces. It sucks. I love me some cheese too. lol. I also love me some coffee!!!!!!

Several people have mentioned WASA crackers. I haven't had them in years, but now I remember that I love them too! Now I can't wait till the next time I'm at the grocery store!
haha. I am hungry. All of this food talk is making me hungry! It's almost lunch time though so. I love going to the grocery store but it's pretty bad when you go in hungry. lol. If I go in there hungry I'll end up buying everything. lol. Has anyone else ever done this??? lol. I don't know why I'm asking because I know they have. lol. I'm like really really hyper. I have already had like four or five cups of coffee today. I love coffee!!!!!! Umm ok I'm just gonna shut up now!
I remember hearing from my parents (and others) as a "child" that coffee stunts your growth. It's easy to forget how old you are because you write and spell better than most adults I know. But, aren't you "only" 13 years old? And you've already drank 4-5 cups of coffee! Thank God you're not supposed to eat sugar (too much) because if you did you'd be bouncing off the walls and climbing the ceiling! LOL
Yeah I'm only 13. lol. I don't believe that coffee stunts your growth but who knows it might. I haven't even hit my growth spurt yet. lol. Maybe it does. Trust me I used to bounce off the walls and everything. I used to be really chunky too. But ever since I've been a diabetic I have lost so much weight. I used to eat candy like 24/7. lol. So in a way diabetes has helped me. I know it might sound crazy but it's true!
I suppose you also drink the Diet Coke or Diet Pepsi WITH CAFFEINE, yes? The Diet Pepsi 0 Caffeine Free is actually quite good. I'm drinking some cold on ice right now!
I love Pepsi 0! I hate diet coke no offense to the Diet Coke lovers out there. I just think it tastes like syrupy carbonated water. It doesn't have a taste to me. Diet Pepsi tastes more like Pepsi and Diet Coke doesn't.
Between Diet Pepsi and Diet Coke, I choose the latter. Diet Pepsi tastes too sweet to me, like it has more sweetener or something. I don't know. So I choose Diet Coke. Although I prefer Diet Dr. Pepper or Sierra Mist Free. (=
My personal fav is suger-free instant jello pudding. I know, it sounds nasty, but it's SO GOOD!!! And you get a HUGE bowl for 6 carbs and (I think) 2 grams of fat. Yum!

i like that too! i love almonds, peanuts. but they have to be plain, not even salt added. and i think ive only found some once. i like cheese and crackers too.
It's really a very healthy lunch and definitely one of my favorites. Most of your carbs are coming from the 2 slices of wheat bread (12g carbs each) and from the peanut butter crackers (22g for 6 crackers). The ham and cheese have almost no carbs and therefore do almost nothing to comoensate for your insulin, exercise and fast metabolism. Perhaps the easiest thing to add first would be a piece of fruit. Plums are good because they have a very low GI. Vegetables are good too so you might try throwing some lettuce on your sandwich, but this won't do as much as the piece or two of fruit. Add things a little at a time because I don't think you need a huge adjustment. Fruits are also good because they're filling.

Apples and peanut butter can be a great afternoon snack (one of William's favorites). Protein, fat, and fiber to give a nice, slow carb and fill 'em up til dinnertime. Hubby loves celery and cream cheese. When I lived overseas we used to snack on dried chick peas. Yum! Haven't found them over here, though :(
I like Coke Zero too. I think it's better than Diet Coke. I like pickles too Alyssa! lol. I'm gonna speak for my friend Katelyn Bailey. I LOVE PICKLES!!!!!! lol.
