Since being diagnosed this time last year, my daughter has not let it slow her down. She continues to be an Honors student and three sport athlete in high school. She is up for the APP I Am Sport Award which recognizes student athletes and their commitment to giving back to the community. This season Kate and her track coach are putting together the schools first ever Track Relay Invitational and using it as a platform to educate and bring awareness to T1D.
