Anyone seen anything about Solo yet?
I got the Demo Kit yesterday ..
Looks pretty cool ..
Nope...what's it like?
I've heard of the solo and it looks pretty cool. almost like and omnipod but with a few different features. It looks really small!
I got my demo pod too last Friday. I've yet to try it on though. It's smaller than the Omnipod pod, but not by much.
Looks like a me too OmniPod. Not sure if you can take OmniPods off though.
Why can't they come up with some way to surgically implant the infusion site or something so you don't have stick that thing in your stomach/arms/legs every 2 or 3 days? People on dialysis have a thing inserted in their arm so they don't have to get poked eveytime. Couldn't they do something like that?
Surely it's not just so you have to buy a new one at inflated prices every couple of days? Nah.
I got one too, promising.
Rich, thanks so much for posting this. I hadn't heard of it. According to the website, it looks like the most innovative pump so far. Like everyone else has said, Omnipod but better!
I just started on Omnipod this year, so my insurance probably won't let me switch so soon. I'll keep this in mind, and let us know how it goes for you!
Hey I have seen this...i went to the website a little while ago but I didnt feel like there was enough info about it. Looks like a great product though.
Ddrummin - Wouldnt it be a problem for us to use one of those "port" things?? Our fat gets tired :D Dialysis goes right into your vein I believe. I do like the idea though!!

Yeah I think you're right that the port thing goes in your vein. But I was just thinking that something similar to that but that went where the pump needs to go that didn't require putting a new needle in your stomach every 2 or 3 days would be cool. Maybe someday ... Of course that would totally wipe out the tubing and infusion set manufacturers annuity stream.
It looks really kool. I want one

FYI: when they access dialysis sites in the arm, they use HUGE needles! when they access portacaths in cancer patients they use "normal" sized needles, the access devices that have ports outside the body are only for temporary use (months at best) which is still better than MDI or pumps as we know them and further research would be necessary...who wants to help me on this? :-)
dude! i just researched the solo and i sooooooooooooo want one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
