Relieved!

I've been having a blurry spot in the side of my left visual field the last few weeks. Then, in my panic, it felt even worse. I didn't post on here b/c I was worried someone would have a scary retinopathy story that would make me feel more anxious, lol. So, saw the retinopathist today, and after waiting TWO hours, he checked multiple times, and he said everything was fine. I'm so relieved, although still not sure about the slight blurry vision. I'm hoping it's just some weird temporary thing. This whole thing has made me appreciate my vision and vow to *try* to have fewer highs even though my a1c is okay and it's kinda hard to avoid. But, I'm really going to try harder so I don't regret it later!

On Jan 4, we get my son's results on his bloodwork to see if he has some rare blood disorder, so I'm hoping this is a good omen. Fingers crossed that we're having good medical luck chez nous!!

Glad to hear all is well Sarah. Hope you're feeling better (ahhhh, sigh of relief) now that you've gotten good news from your Dr. today.

Good Luck with your son's results also. My fingers are crossed for you too : )

That's wonderful news that your eyes show no problems.  Hopefully your blurry spot will disappear soon.  I had an eye appt. last week and everything was good.   I always  pray and it is  nice to have a sigh of relief after getting good news.  I always have the thought in my head that the dilating drops will make you blind.  Sun glasses came in handy on the way home with the bright sun and the reflection off the snow.

Hope your son's results will come back normal also.

Sarah, weird you would bring this up. I am going to my Doc this morning for the same thing. I hope my results are like yours. I just thought I was crazy. Maybe we both are. Lol. :)

Are your symptoms similar? I have blurriness in a small part of my left eye. I'm wondering what it is, but glad it's nothing serious.

Hope your appt goes okay!!

Sarah-

I'm so glad there wasn't anything scary from your eye exam.  I know what that is like to have something weird happen, and feel like a ticking diabetes time bomb.

I really hope your son's test results come back okay too.  Take care.

Sarah - so glad to hear this.  I've been seeing a floater in my left eye for a few weeks now, and wonder if it's stress, or something else.  I have only noticed it when I'm looking at my monitor at work, though, so maybe it's just eye fatigue (one can hope).  Good luck with your son's bloodwork.  You're in my thoughts!
