Question for parents that have a daughter

Hi, my daughter would probably kill me if she knew I was doing this post.  My question is, how do you deal with their menstral cycles?  Casie is 12 and has been have her cycle for about 6 months now, and it seems like every month is totally diffrent.  This month she has been VERY high. I mean like 500 readings!  We have increased her basal's and even have been doing a temp basal rate of +20% for 4 hours at a time and she is still not in the normal range.  When the 4 hours are over (within an hour) she is back up in her numbers.  She and I are both very frustrated right now.  How do you deal with this?  How do I convince her that she is doing what she is supposed to be doing?  Any help would be appreciated!

Thank you,

Kathy

Have your doctor figure another set of basal rates to use during her menstral cycle. Most pumps allow you to have more than one set of basals.
