New here!

Hello everyone!

I am 33 years old and was just recently diagnosed with Type 1 a few weeks ago! I look forward to chatting with everyone and learning more about this illness.

Thank you!

Welcome Stephanie, nice to meet you. I was 54 when diagnosed T1D and have spent alot of time educating myself. I have only 2 people I see every now and again who are also T1D. I like to chat with them, but sometimes I feel like I am imposing on their time. I started on a pump 3 months ago and it has been fantastic! Welcome to the forum and I hope you enjoy learning as much as I do.

Hi Stephanie. I’m also new to this community, but I’ve been a type 1 diabetic much longer, 27 years. I’m currently using a pump and a CGM. If you have any questions feel free to ask. WELCOME!

Diagnosed with t1 almost two years ago and in need to speak with more people with t1, look forward to meeting more people

Welcome, Stephanie!

I joined this community a few weeks ago and have found that it’s extremely supportive. I hope you feel welcomed here!
I was diagnosed as a teenager and I’m going on year four, so I still have a lot to learn. I think you’ll be able to find a lot of great tips/resources here. Good luck!

Yes, I agree that this is a good place to find support, encouragement a some really good stories about what success [and other stuff too] people have gad living with diabetes. We share based on our own experience and not as medical care professionals.

If possible, I suggest that if possible you find and attend a “TypeOne Nation Summit”. You can find the Summits by using the “Events” tab at the top of the page - I did and was rewarded by meeting other T1 people close by. The events are free for us because of generous sponsors.

Tyvm I try to get on here often but I haven’t been feeling well and we are getting busy at work with the holidays coming!

Hope you are doing well!

Hello! I was diagnosed about 6 years ago, but have yet to actually meet anyone else with T1D. Glad to have found this community! Also going to take @Dennis advice and look for upcoming events nearby. Can’t wait!

Hi, I’m Dawn
I am NEW here and I hope I am in RIGHT place. I’m glad I am here. I have just been reading everybody’s post on everything. I am a mother of a 23 year old son who is type 1. I am sorry for all pain and suffering you all go through. I know my son is giving up AND I almost lost him 3 weeks ago cause his blood sugar DROPPED TO 7. He just had a baby boy who is 3 months old. His finance SAYS they have IT under control but it’s not. They won’t ever tell me anything cause my son hates me upset but I feel I neel.d TO know things like that. One big thing I agree with IS the family should be involved AND I wish I had done more BUT I am now volunteering AND anything else I can do. IS there anyway FOR my son to spare my feelings SO HE CAN tell me when he needs help. God bless you all
