OMG being sick as a diabetic is just miserable! I must say, I missed this place so much! What have I missed? Anyone have any good stories I can hear to cheer me up? Im down from the hospital. I swear the same people we are supposed to put all our trust and faith in that we call doctors are so ignorant at times! GRR someone cheer me up!
Welcome back! Glad to hear that all is well again (I hope), and good to have you back on Juvenation. Good stories... well, this one probably isn't the best, but I'll give it a shot (pun not intended as it has nothing to do with that ;) ):
I was talking with one of my family members the other day, and they were telling me how they had written up this thing with pictures of their hometown. Problem was? They spelled their name wrong... they're diabetic, too. First response here was: was she low? :)
Offered my family member a sensor the other day :) I was putting one on and they were asking about it; I told them "yeah, I'm putting on a sensor. Want one? We can take turns with the seashell!" (the part that reads the data and sends it to the pump, you know? On the Minimed 722). The look on their face was priceless :)
Recieved a bunch of Tegaderm today for my sensor, as the old covers were proving too small. They sent 49 covers!! It's a crack up because when I layed them all out, it was enough to cover more than two counters! And if they each last 7 days as they're supposed to, I'll have just about enough for the rest of the year :)

Jess,
I am glad to see you back!!! We have added a couple of new groups, a lot of new and interesting members, and kept the lights on for ya’…
There was, of course, the dance party, the blood sugar lotto, and the giant pillow fight… but really… not a lot else… and since I am just makin’ stuff up… ummm… well- I guess I am also out of material ;)
Welcome back, kid!
Cheers!

Lol Alyssa, thank you so much for replying. Loved the pun to start out with too, im huge on puns!!
Jess,
It is my pleasure and I am glad we get your smiling face back 'round here for a bit... As for me, I am playing with my new CGM and having a great time discovering new tricks and blood sugar games. I am actually nerd enough to consider creating a bingo chart in excel using the 5 columns to hold 10 random BS values each and seeing how long it takes me to get one number from each column… BINGO – Between the pump and CGM I have pretty much become my own favorite video game… LOL Okay, yes… the road to normal is nowhere in sight…
Cheers!

A-D,
That is one of the goofiest things I have ever heard... I'll have to make something like that for D-camp this year, cabin wide blood glucose bingo!
A-D...i totally own the nerd hat here, and while you're all looking for something to laugh at...
...never mind Excel...I wrote my own software to generate Bingo Cards...
Good to see you back, Jess. Really too bad you missed the action. Should've seen the way A-D can tear it up on Disco Night.
;o)
Cheers,
James,
That means a lot coming from the guy who showed up in the all white 3-piece suite and black shirt with gold chains... :P
(you pulled it off, though)
Cheers!

P.S.
If that software makes use of a random number generator to pre-populate the fields on the card, I think I would really like a copy...
It sure does, and I'll pass it along this weekend (on my home computer...I work 160 miles away from home).
By the way, I still want to you how you can get all the ladies without the white three piece?
Cheers,
HA! Ive just developed some BEAutiful images lol!
There are PICTURES?!?!?!?!? :-O
no no, i meant just thinkin of a man in a 3 piece, most likely 100% polyester, white suite dancing to some disco music ha-now THATS priceless
