Log keeping

You know I am going to go buy a regular notebook today and start logging her stuff again. Every log sheet I have gotten or looked at online isnt good enough for me. They are either for pumpers or dont have enough space for food and exercise stuff. I want the space to write down what she ate and how much at every meal. 3 one inch lines off to the side of a log sheet doesnt do it for me. Maybe if I do it my way it will be easier than trying to conform to the info the docs need when I need more than that.

Jessica,

That's what I do. I couldn't find any logs I like either. We have a OneTouch Ultra Smart so I would enter the carbs and insulin dose(s) during the day  and when the kids are in bed I would copy it all down in my notebook. This way I can add notes when it's fresh in my mind.  I highlight the lows and highs in different colors to help me spot the trends. I've been slacking lately though. It's been a couple of weeks since I wrote anything down. :(

A couple of years ago, I started circling anything over 190 and "triangling" anything under 70, and that's helped me too. I can just glance at a page for a week and see if I tended to be in or out of range.

Thanks for that tip. I do swagbucks which if you dont know what it is it gives fake money from using their search engine to earn fake money to buy things like amazon gift cards and I was finally able to buy think like a pancreas. I am trying not to be scared of lows and being more aggressive with her insulin and her numbers are coming down pretty good.
