i have been researching for a long time and i can only find two case studys where a type 1 diabetic had gastric bypass surgery. i know it is unusual for type 1's to be so heavy but i am, 295 lbs. i am 47 years old and have had diabetes for 28 years, luckly with no complication. my last a1c was 7.1. if there is anyone who has had this surgery i would like to talk to you about your experience.
