uuhhh. no definitely not. how was the needle big enough to shove an earring through there?
How about this?... Have you ever used an insulin syringe as a "weapon" to chase somebody around the room (threatening to inject them with insulin) or at least filled it with water and used it as a mini water gun?
water gun fo' sho'. it made me feel good to squirt my sister with a tiny stream of water as a kid. it was how i coped. :o)

In the old days the guage of the needles was much heavier. It worked. I haven't tried it recently,
but I'm sure you could do it with the inserting needle from an infusion set. That baby is sharp!

One in each hand! You can really hide them. People have no idea where the water came from. It would be fun to
try it with fountain pen ink. (LOL... just kidding.)

Have you ever been going to the bathroom and operating your pump at the same time?
I test while running all the time. Don't stop moving my legs, maintain pace, it has gotten a lot more interesting, being almost winter out, me wearing gloves now.
Thank goodness I can hold things in my mouth.
How on earth do you do that? First, I would probably drop my test strip then if I actually did get it in to my meter, the bounce of the jog would make it next to impossible to get blood into the strip. I can barely test in a moving car!
I'm sure everyone has done this at one time or another...
Have you ever used an insulin syringe as a stand-in for a lancet to stick your finger?
They don't work as well and it can really hurt.

Some people (On Juvenation) have claimed hat they can test with only using one hand. Some have even said they can tear open the packet to an alcohol wipe, remove it and clean their finger with one hand. I can't do it. (But then I do have some arthritis.)
i can barely function with 2 hands. 1 hand would render me useless.
if i don't have a lancet, i don't poke my finger. good thing my fingers (usually--yesterday was the exception) bleed on command.
IN RESPONSE TO KATE'S FLABBERGASTATION:
Un-zip my SpiBelt, put my One Touch Ultra Mini in my mouth, sorta biting it with my lips over my teeth, take off one glove, putting it in my pocket, grab test strip vial out of belt, open, take out 1 test strip using un-gloved hand, insert into meter (still in mouth), grab poker (already loaded & cocked before I run), put back vial, hold my hand out in front of me, push "fire" button, bleed, grab meter from mouth with gloved hand, put blood on strip, look at number, put everything back that isn't already away.
Keep going.
Nice!
p.s. flabbergastation is a fantastic word!
Wow, that's impressive. You don't slow your pace while doing this? I would almost definitely have to slow down or I would look retarded. What kind of pace are you usually going at while doing this?
Have you ever gotten out your injection supplies, drawn up the insulin, and injected all while driving on a highway?
All the time!
I tend to do that at traffic lights and than feel guilty if I caught someone looking at me. I will wave at them though.
This has never happened to me, but I am curious, have you guys ever accidentally managed to cut your tubing while wrapping presents??
