Diabetes supplies found on street

As I was walking on the street today i spotted this on the floor:

It's an used infusion set. Just figured I's share;-)

Well there is something that doesn't appear on the ground everyday.  Good stuff.

Hahaha. That's awesome.

Oops I didn't mean to drop that there...hehe jk. Pretty random thing to see on the street.

That's my exact set up! How strange. Thanks for the laugh.

There was a time not too long ago when most people, including most T1's, had never heard of an insulin pump, no less actually seen one.  In fact, I had gone to see a new primary care physician a few years back, who I told I used an insulin pump.  The doctor then asked me "WHO installed it?"  Now you find infusion sets strewn all over the streets :)  I can't imagine how it got there.  I've never tried changin my infusion set while walking down the street.  Injections... yes, but infusion sets... no, at least not yet.

"WHO installed it?"

Best Buy of course

The last two post have me hysterical. Too funny guys. I can only imagine going into Best Buy asking for help. I have never changed my set walking down the street, however I have changed it in a car, and sitting on a bench on campus in college.

"infusion sets strewn all over the streets"   HAHAHA, that is great!

Lol, I'm glad you took a pic and shared.  One time I saw a strip on the ground and I was like... how did I drop that one... and then I realized it wasn't mine!  eek!

Has anyone ever thought of how our DNA is just floating around the world in little used testing strips?

lol, maybe it's just me... eh, I'm ok with that.

I have thought about it, but not to the point where I loose sleep over it.

In the town I grew up in we used to find syringes and other stuff "strewn" all over the beaches where the crowds used to hang out at night.  Unfortunately, I don't think any of those supplies had anything to do with diabetes.  Now that was frightening.

You guys are too funny!

I pass that street every day I'll look out for more stuff :p...jk

Well if you find more you should take it to a forensics lab and figure out who the culprit is!  Haha!  ;)

will geek squad help me trouble shoot? is installation included in the price?

Yes, a 24 hour hotline is available and installation is an extra $39.99.

what a gyp. are there ever any specials?

That's the Best Buy mantra.  Overpriced with little service.  Of course there are specials:  on Black Friday.

HA. fabulous. i can change my site affordably only once a year.

That's correct, so don't screw it up

I laugh now, but how painful that would be. I went five days once (I know shame on me), and that was bad enough.
