Just thinking about it today I've decided the next time my site comes off, I'll stand up and yell MY PANCREAS FELL OUT!!
That's right up there next to yelling 'GLUCAGON!' in the middle of stores on the fun meter :D

OMG Alyssa!!! Could you have made me laugh ANY harder???
Haha! That's really funny Alyssa. I might try that! See what everyone will say and do. lol. My Aunt would probably have a heart attack. I'm not gonna let my parents know about this so I can scare the pants off of them. I'll finally be able to get them back for all the times they have scared me. REVENGE!!!!! MWHAHAHAHAHAHAH! lol.
Now, now, Brittany, be nice..... ;-P
I am being nice! lol. Ok maybe I got a little carried away. lol. I wouldn't do anything to my parents to hurt them. Or cause them to have a heart attack. I wouldn't hurt anyone. I don't believe in violence. :)
Glad you guys find it as funny as I do :) I recentley got a lecture for yelling both of those in the middle of a video store. Apparentley, I shouldn't yell "glucagon" in case someone knows what it means; and the pancreas thing?? I was lectured that it was just a "weird thing to say, so stop it!" :) :) Still fun, though! Let me know if anyone does that haha!
Back on topic, though :) At camp, I had a really terrible day for sites - there isn't anything that explains why it happened, either. I wasn't sweaty or hot or wet, or perpetually yanking at the site or anything. But the site came out (after changing it in the morning) once in the afternoon (it was just taped on my skin because it had pulled out at one point; I was around 300 because I hadn't been getting insulin but I...um...lied to ADA and said I was closer to the 200's because I was trying to avoid a freak-out from them), then again in the evening. Sooo I changed it 3 times that day, and was so annoyed by the final change that my new diabetic buddy and I used 4 methods to stick it down and keep it down: IV prep (which I don't usually use), the infusion set tape (the adhesive), a Tagaderm (she rocks! We'd met like 2 days ago and she lent me her Tagaderm <3), and then medical tape AROUND the Tagaderm. Well... I was as stiff as a bored the rest of the day, couldn't move and had to sit/sleep incredibley straight, but it held. Until the next day :P
I haven't had any chance to yell it. I hope I get a chance soon. I'll probably get yelled at for saying that but I'm used to it. lol. I get yelled at 24/7 by my dad. He yells at me for everything I do. I just learned to tune it out.
When I stayed at the YMCA for summer camp we had to stay outside all day and they wouldn't even let us go in to refill our waterbottles. My pump sit would keep falling out because it was like 109 and I was swetting so bad. I lost alot of weight from sweating so much. I almost passed out one time. I had to sit down and the counseler started yelling at me. I was like screw this and I started yelling back. Finally I had to jog their memory about me being a diabetic and I got to sit down and check my sugar which was low. I am so glad I didn't have to go this year. Worst place ever.
i sweat really bad and my sites never fall out. i dont like to use tape around my sites, i break out with itchy red bumps where the tape was (not the site adhesive tape, but the first aid tape)
