My son is using syringes for Lantus and a pen for Humalog. He has no interest in a pump at all.
I use a pen but my pump is being shipped soon!
My daughter is 11 and has been pumping with the Animas Ping since September 2010, and loves it! We've had nothing but good experiences with her pump and it's enabled her to be much more independent with her diabetes, especially because she doesn't have to worry about "stacking" insulin if she's at a friend's house.
