Travelling with Diabetes

Healthcare Human Factors has partnered with the University of Toronto Engineering department on an undergraduate capstone project to investigate the current challenges that people living with diabetes face while travelling. We are reaching out to invite those who are living with (or care for someone living with) Type 1 diabetes to participate in an online survey related to this study.

We would like to gain insight into your experiences with travel, including how you prepare for travel and difficulties you encounter along the way. This data will be used as background research and to inform our design process. Your participation in this study will make a tangible contribution to the research and development of solutions for people travelling with diabetes.

If you volunteer to participate, you will be asked to fill out an online questionnaire, which will take 15-20 minutes to complete. At the end of the survey, you may choose to indicate if you would like to be contacted by the team to participate in future phases of this study. Your name and any identifying information will not be shared outside the project team. If you are selected you participate in future phases of the study, you will be compensated for your time in the form of a gift card.

You can access the survey through the link below. This research study was approved by the University of Research Ethics Board.
