Stem Cell regeneration

The other day my doctor mentioned that in 3mos when I take my routine A1C test that she will also be testing me for diabetes antibodies.  The jist:  1hr prior to taking my labs, I am to eat about 30g carbs.  At that time when they draw the blood they will be able to tell if my pancreas is still producing insulin and if my body is simply rejecting it or if I have antibodies fighting off the pancreas.......

So I am curious...  If someone does not have any active antibodies, can they fundamentally be an exceptional candidate for stem cell regeneration????  There is a center in Germany, Xcell Center, which provides this service from stem cells generated from your own marrow.....

I'm confused. If you don't have antibodies, does that mean you don't have type1? I never thought of the pancreas itself being attacked, but just the beta cells.
