Banana bread is pretty good.  For snacks, I'm usually a sucker for anything nutty (almonds, peanuts, peanut butter, cashews, macadamia - OK, ALL nuts and the legume peanut!).  If I'm low, oranges are a good option, but I have to be careful because even a handful of tiny mandarin oranges can really spike up the BG levels.

I also love tuna and veggies (except the evil, nasty onion, lol).

Banana bread would be a good choice.  I like Yoplait light yogurt, pudding cups, chex mix turtle granola bars, Little Debbie Marshmallow supremes, and I like cheese, sausage, and crackers in the evening.

Sarah's favorites lately (they seem to change constantly...) are:

rice cakes with cream cheese

cucumber

celery and peanut butter

peanut butter crackers

watermelon and cheese

I love most of the special K stuff lows cars and low calories.

I like rice pudding, fruit (apples, grapes, watermelon, etc.), crackers or bread and hummus, apple oat scones, or any of the mini muffins my mom makes.

I pretty much eat anything and everything.  I never really specialized in any kind of diabetic specific food/snack.  However, I do have to consider snacks and portability and ability to use in hot weather though.  To date m&m (peanuts) in hard shell do well in hot weather.  Relative health-wise, the second choice has been welch's snack packs (size and carbs is good for a fix and portability).  They tend to hold their shape too in most heat.

Those are a top pick for me as well - although recently I've switched back to using Archer Farms (Target) fruit strips.  They're 11g of carb and don't taste too bad - and slightly more healthy.  :)

I mostly go for for nut/fruit bars that have a lot of protein unlike most fruit bars that you find that have a ton of sugar and like 2grams of protein. I love banana bread but my mom's really into health and (no offense but) equal isn't the best "fake" sweetner for you. We usually go for the natural sweetners like stevia. And sugar is probably better than some sweetners like splenda. I don't mean to cause any arguments but this is what my family has figured out from all the health doctors and such.

I think honestly if I was concerned about sugar, I would not eat banana bread.  I feel the same about light beer (yuck), so I drink in moderation and the real stuff instead.  As for banana bread, if I am going to eat it, I will use real sugar and adjust with extra insulin or exercise after.

whatever low carb stuff my mom gets for me.

Speaking of banana bread and health, my mom makes banana nut muffins using real sugar but she has reduced it a lot and added oats and whole wheat flour and various things.  The muffins taste as good as typical muffins and are so much healthier.  Any recipe for bread or muffins can be modified and still be delicious or better than the original :)

well lately  my mom have been geting me low carb banana bread or fruit strips from Target or just watermelon.
