I would like to recommend following posts & information from Project Blue November on fb. It was begun by a group of “D” Moms to raise awareness of Type 1 & the many aspects of it. I have shared many of their posts on my own fb page. They produce some very attention grabbing poster type pictures with captions. This AM I liked picture of young woman shouting at phone receiver. Caption: ON THE PHONE WITH YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY… “YES, I STILL HAVE TYPE 1 DIABETES!”
Yesterday I liked: “diabetes etiquette - for people who DON’T have type1 diabetes”. Excellent! Posts are of many genres. Some of which are funny; others express common frustrations or offer encouragement; some are very informative. When I share the posts on my fb page I get zero or just a few likes. I only have two T1 friends on fb. I feel however that I am helping to educate others who have gross misconceptions or in fact very little knowledge about T1.
