Omnipod USB question

My Omnipod came with a USB cable, and I can't figure out what it does. I've tried plugging it in, and all it said was that while the PDM is plugged in all functions are disables. I've looked in the user guide, and nothing. I looked on the website and also nothing. Does anyone use theirs, and if so, for what?

You have to download the software from Abbott first and then the omnipod extension from the insulet website.  Then you can plug in your PDM and download all your data.  It's great because the different reports show different trends.
