My name is Abigail Morrison and I am a Research Specialist at innovation Research and Training (iRT), a behavioral science research company in Durham, NC.
We are reaching out to support organizations that work with families of children and adolescents who have a chronic illness or disease because we are recruiting youth to be part of our research study that is funded by the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI). The goal of our study is to determine the usability and effectiveness of an interactive, online educational resource to teach children and adolescents about pediatric clinical trials. We are looking for youth (aged 8 to 14 years) who are healthy or have a chronic illness, disease, or disorder to participate in the study.
As part of the study, youth will be asked to:
• complete two online questionnaires
• review the online educational resource about pediatric clinical trials
• complete some questions related to use of the educational resource.
The study is all online so it can be done at home. Youth can receive up to $50 for completing different aspects of the study.
