National Diabetes Awareness Month

Hi guys! In case you didn’t know already, November is National Diabetes Awareness Month!

Here are some great ways to create some buzz around social media, if you don’t have anything planned yet!

1. #T1Day is November 1. Let’s make some social media noise on Thunderclap

What is Thunderclap?
Thunderclap allows a single message to be mass-shared, flash mob-style, so it rises above the noise of your social networks. Using Thunderclap will ensure the world hears our voices as ONE on November ONE. JDRF asks that you dedicate your Twitter, Facebook, and Tumblr status to help turn November One into T1Day. JOIN THUNDERCLAP

2. Change your social media profile picture for T1D awareness

Download the JDRF National Diabetes Awareness Month icon to your desktop. Upload it to your preferred social media profiles as you normally would. Then, add the following caption:

It’s #diabetesmonth! Support people living with #T1D. Change your profile pic now #noT1D

3. Share a video

Show us how you turn Type One into Type None by making a quick video that you can post on your Instagram, Facebook, or Vine account with #noT1D. If T1D were just a word, how would you erase it? If T1D were an object, how would you make it disappear? What would T1D be like with fewer supplies? What T1D research advances are most exciting to you? Get creative and show us how you turn Type One into Type None!
