Minimed is making me nervous

I mess up inserting every so often and when I do its usually a very bad day because ill mess up 2 or 3 times which wastes 2 or 3 site kits.  Now with Minimed trying to keep up supply I'm only getting 1 box every 3 weeks, just like most of you out there.  I don't want to go back to shots if I run out that would be horrible :(

Plus I'm skinny like no body's business so I hit nerves which counts as a mess up because those are uncomfortable to deal with so I take it out and try another location.

Do we know when Medtronic will be back to shipping normal normal orders???

i think they are slowly catching up. i ordered supplies for myself and had to call and scream because it had been a month and a half. My daughter also has a pump so I used a few of her reservoirs until mine came. I had to order supplies for my daughter about 2 weeks ago and had them much faster. they weren't the usual less than a week but I think I had them in about 11 days. I ordered extra's this time just to be safe.

Just call and they'll send you more. I did several times, like before I went on vacations away from home this summer, and they overnighted more.

Hi Greg,

I just thought of something. I have to have my Endo fill out a form for my insurance twice a year that states I still need an insulin pump, and sometimes being busy he doesn't do it on time. I called and explained my situation to Minimed/Medtronic and they sent me what they call sample packs. The sample packs contained 3 sets each and they sent two. Also they were shipped express since I was running low on supplies so they got here within 2-3 days. Maybe if you called and told them that you are nervous about your insulin pump therapy being interrupted they may be able to do the same for you. I hope it all works out for you. Have a good weekend.

No, I have no idea when they'd wet back to normal, and for all I know I'm only getting a few a month as well. Were your tubing and infusion sets part of the thing where the site would either give you too much insulin and other times they'd give you like, 0.4 u??? That might be y if u were part of it.
