Hey everyone :)
Well we all know that diabetes can be quite stressful at times. So does anyone ever make jokes about their D to lighten the mood? :)

I make D jokes ALLLL the time. My friends make them ALLL the time. My bf cracks them ALLLL the time. Even my mom has even cracked a few! My work even cracks them!
I'd say there's at least one or two jokes a day MIN.
"Poking fun at diabetes?!?!?!?" - really??? <eg>
Wife asking "you going to fix your blood sugar?" (in response to beeping CGM) - Answer - "I'll give it a shot <eg>"
(pre-pump) "I only shoot up when I'm high?" or Playing darts with syringes
pointing out that I'm my own favorite pin-cushion
Or - (post-pump) - "I have a bionic pancreas"
During low blood sugar - "sorry, I need a minute, I'm digestionally impaired..."
G-d made us extra sweet
Upon an Oh-GAWD reading on the CGM/Meter - "How sweet it is!" *yikes*
"how are ya'?" - "On average I'm doing fine but right now... a little low, actually..."
Vials of insulin, check, pump, check, lancing device, check, spare pods, check - looking forward to spending hours explaining myself to the TSA? <eg> check
Why do i always feel like such a grouch when my meter says I'm sweet?I
I'm sure there are more and yet - I feel like I probably should have stopped a few lines back...
Cheers!
A-D
I don't have any specific diabetes jokes.
I like to make light of myself and other peoples' questions and experiences on here because I feel like it gets too serious sometimes. If you stick around here long enough, I'm guaranteed to either offend you or make you laugh...possibly both at the same time.
Oh wait there is one. I like telling girls I have 34 inches of tube in my pants. I'm always trying to figure out why they end up being disappointed :-/

hahahahha that's so great!!!
Ha! Pat, that's hilarious.
I don't really have any jokes, but I do try to make light of it sometimes. When I took shots, I would sometimes make comments about "shooting up", just to get a reaction.
Tthe other day my pump tubing came untucked from my pants, and my fiance told me that my pancreas was showing.

Ha, brilliant. Pat you have made me laugh many times since I joined juvenation, however I think this is the best joke so far. As a matter of fact, I am going to steal it and start telling that to girls myself.
When I have to inject, I call it "Shooting Up" and when I check my blood sugar, I call it "Checking Myself"! When I start eating without taking insulin, I suddenly remember to take insulin and usually state, "Oh, that's right, I am diabetic today!!!" or my hubby says something similar! That's about it.......
