I am potentially going to be moving to South Africa for about a year. In the past I have had no issues with getting medication over there however, this year I turned 26 and am no longer be under my parents insurance. I have insurance through my current employer but once I leave this job to go abroad I will no longer have that. I was wondering if anyone knows anything about international insurance or living as an expat with type 1 diabetes/ affording supplies. I have the Medtronic 670G (and am not a fan of it). Any advice is welcome!
Hello. Iām sorry I am unfamiliar with international insurance but am interested in why you are not a fan of the 670G pump. I just transitioned from an older Medtronic pump to the 670G.
Sorry for the delay. I am just not a huge fan of the sensors. i have more connection errors than I ever did with the Dexcom. I think they recently did a software update because it does not beep nearly as much as it used to. It used to wake me up at all hours of the night beeping for calibrations or glucose readings. Even after silencing the alarm it would continue to go off.
