Hello,
I'm Amelia and I'm assisted by Leigh-Lou, a diabetic alert dog. She will be retiring soon, so I'll also mention Merlin, diabetic alert dog in training.
We live in New Mexico, attend NMSU and work for Santa Fe Stables during the summers.
I was diagnosed with diabetes when I was six (I'm currently eighteen almost nineteen). I was put on the pump when I was eight and it's a dream of mine to become a diabetes/ insulin pump/ service dog advocate and to educate people about all of those things. I currently keep a blog to try to start down that path while I'm still in college.
That's about all about me for now, and I'm looking forward to finding out more about everyone on here and sharing experiences.
