Did they say if it was still going to hold the 200 units of insulin?!?! If so, that would be fantastic!
That's a good question, but I did not ask. Clay doesn't even use 50 units in 3 days so I never thought about asking how much insulin it will hold. Sorry!

oh i didn't know the Pod did that...i don't have access to it cuz i'm in canada, so i never even got to go on a trial so i donno. can't you load up the program on the remote and punch in a number as if you're doing a correction and see if it subtracts the IOB to give you a dose to take? it should break it all down for you.
but if it doesn't subtract the IOB then i can see that being a concern. i don't see why it wouldn't though..

Minimed does this as well but you have to check your blood sugar or put in a fake one to find out how much Insulin is still in your system.

the ping doesn't subtract it, but it still tells me how much there is..
The Insulet rep told us this at a pump class last week. He was clear that nothing would change in functionality outside of the size of the pod... and that it would just start being sent instead of the larger pods. And that it is supposed to happen in the next 6 months. He also told us that they would have integrated CGM soon, but didn't share much more about that.
I just wanted to thank the people who contributed to this thread. It has been very educational for me. I have an older model minmed/medtronic pump and it doesn't tell me anything like this (iob). I can see how knowing this would come in handy and look forward to learning more about it upon getting the Animas Ping.
