When my daughter was very little,we had a big ice storm here.You could here the trees branches cracking and crashing to the ground,We had no power for like 2 weeks and it was awful.You become so thankful for heat and light and cooking on your stove-Washing clothes when you can't have that...I really don't know how people up north handle that sort of thing if it happens often.We were not prepared at all !!! we bought a gas heater for heat and a grill to cook on outside....Very rare to get an ice storm here.,,it was beautiful to see at first and we took pictures of the ice everywhere but was not so pretty for long...
Glad to hear that you're back to normal. My parents are in southeastern CT and haven't had power since Saturday afternoon. Currently they are hoping to have power by Tuesday evening, but nothing sure yet...
