Hungry, and I forgot the needle to flexpen! &*#$%

I ate.  I ate soooo much for dinner!!! haha  Grilled a ginormous steak with sweet potatoes as my carbs (:  But yes, I did finally eat.  Ahhh, I was starving.

Most veggies are free because they have a lot of fiber - so when you subtract the fiber grams from the carb grams it is a wash. But we were taught 1 cup of raw or 1/2 cup cooked counted as free. After that you should pay attention. Some (like celery and lettuce) are probably OK to eat as much as you want. Others (carrots) need to pay attention to after the serving size, and then of course, the starchy veggies (corn, potatoes and peas!) have to count regardless of serving size.

I tend not to think about some of the veggies and what they truly are. I know that carrots are not truly free but I tend to forget about peas. Corn and potatoes are a gievn though for me to think of as something that is not free. It is good to have stuff like this remind me from time to time.
