High Risk OB in Dallas area

Hello all! We are reaching a point where we are considering a second child and I am freaking out! My son is almost two and seems to be "perfect" (physically, I mean) but we had a bit of a scare during delivery (non-diabetes related), and I am extremely nervous to try again, in case it were to not turn out so well. Because of this, I really want to get a good High Risk OB - my original OB/GYN was good, very attentive, but I still don't feel she really understood the intricacies of diabetes and pregnancy, and as I will be over 35 for this one on top of being diabetic, I want to start out with someone who will be the best for this situation.

That said, I hate to pick someone out of a hat or based on location alone. Is there anyone out there in the Dallas/Plano/Frisco, TX area that has a recommendation? Or if not someone specific, maybe a way to find one? I'd like to do a few interviews in the next couple of months...

Much appreciated!!

Jennie

I'm in Tulsa, so I don't have a specific recommendation.

If you like your endocrionologist, ask him/her for suggestions.  I had a male OB (recommended by my endo) who was wonderful.  Because most moms-to-be want female OBGYN's, male doctors are often less popular and have more time to devote to patients.
