He is not only 'cool' but a great person and advocate for Diabetes Awareness.  He has a great story and is inspiring for others to read about....I have had my 15 year old son, who also has Diabetes, to read Jmiah's story in hopes that it will inspire him to set goals in his life!  It is all about 'attitude' that helps us all get thru these 'challenges' in our lives!

thanks for the luv Ginger and Dar, yall rock!

Wow, seriously this is another testament that T1s cannot be physically sound!  I know many of us are endurance or bulk type athletes.  Being T1 raises so many doubts about our limitations to perfection of our sports.  It is the stories like this that give me another push out of the T1 depression of oh I have diabetes and life totally sucks.

BTW, congrads Ginger on the comp!!

Personally, since T1 diagnosis I have changed sports from triathlon to weight-training.  UGH, I hate the getting fat stage.  I feel like a total slob with a gut.  I need another 15lb gain before I can do a lean out stage.  For those that doubt that gaining is possible I personally have gained 13lbs over the last 5wks goin from 167 to 180lbs.  My goal is to hit 185 Lean.

Thanks Phil!! Im on a mission to PROVE that diabetics dont have to be the black sheep of the family!! haha we can do whatever WE WANT just like anyone else! ;)
