My daughter (t1d and also has low platelets and Sjogrens) is marrying a man from Toronto, Canada. They currently teach in Kuwait (where she has excellent healthcare) but will be moving to the US or Canada in a year. Any advice on which country would offer the best health care coverage for T1D?

I’m not in a position to offer a comparison between insurance plans in Canada and the USA other than I think my USA plan is quite good and that the little I know about Canada is that people have very good medical care plans that are supported by taxes.
The much more important decision for your daughter is where she will get the MEDICAL CARE she needs - she should locate in an area where she has access to the best doctors and diabetes care professionals.
