Has anyone felt anything like this after dosing their insulin?

In the last two weeks I have been getting a weird feeling in my left hand, then it radiates up into my fore arm and then into my upper arm. It then travels up into my mouth, and my tongue, and then it goes into the left side of my face. It only happened 2 times in the last two weeks and its always about an hour after I take my shot. I don't know what it is. The feeling that I get is numbness and pins and needles. Once it goes into my upper arms it stops in my finger tips and it normally lasts about 25 minutes. It happened to me the first time when I was watching TV. Then today it happened again, while I was driving, thank god I am right handed. It scares me. I don't know if its something to do with my nerves or something similar. It makes my arm unuseful. I am not able to move it much or bend my elbows. 

Does anyone have any ideas on what this could be? Should I talk to my endo about this or go to a nerve specialist? All ideas are appreciated.

i've got that in both arms - for me it's not related to insulin. i have pinched nerves in both my elbows and the muscles in my shoulders are pinched beneath the bone. it doesn't radiate into my mouth, but every now and then my fingers and arms will go numb and i'll start dropping everything. the shoulder/muscle thing doesn't make my fingers go numb, but it's quite painful at times. you could have cubital tunnel (pinched elbow nerves) or carpal tunnel (pinched wrist nerves) or both. there are really simple ways for a doctor to check for pinched nerves, usually involving grip tests and possibly a nerve/muscle stimulation test (i've had both of these and that was how we discovered the elbow issues).
