"Free Foods"

There's only 3 carbs per half cup of cottage cheese.  I usually eat it with some kind of fruit so I guess it wouldn't technically be free...but pretty low carb!

I made the cookies with the ingredients peanut butter, splenda, vanilla  and egg - less than 5 carbs per cookie.  You cant have more than one at a time BUT sometimes they hit the spot.

Cooked carrots yes, they will raise BG, raw carrots no, they will not raise BG..unless they are sugar coated.

One thing I absolutely love is fruit juice (which we all know is one of the absolute worst things you could do to yourself as a T1) and I found Fuze juice, the low calorie stuff only has like 3 grams per bottle. Also, Sobe Life water is low carb/carb free and Vitamin Water Zero also has low/free carb. Just in case you want something to drink with all your carb free snacks that isn't diet soda or water.

Thank you for posting this!!  My 7 year old daughter was just diagnosed two weeks ago.  Since going back to school last week  (1 week after diagnoses) they've had two birthday's and my daughter could not eat the cupcakes.  I've been racking my brain trying to find a zero or low carb treat that I can send with her for those days!!  THANK YOU!!!
