Do you know any celebretes with type one

Does anyone know any celbs with type one? its for a school project.

Nick Jonas

Halle Berry, Mary Tyler Moore, Patti LaBelle, Brett Michaels, Jay Cutler (NFL QB), Gary Hall Jr (Olympic swimmer), Adam Morrison (Gonzaga/NBA bball)...

...I think they're all type 1.

So because I'm bored, I googled it and found this site:

http://www.dlife.com/dLife/do/ShowContent/inspiration_expert_advice/famous_people/

If you click on their names, you can find brief info about them, including what type of diabetes they have... at least for the one or two that i checked.  I'm assuming it's reliable, but that's up to you to verify any celebrity you decide to include in your project.

Take care and get an A++!!!  j/k :P

Thanks a lot! I thought i would never find a person! thank thank sooo much!

Life's a party so you might as well dance :p

Yowza. There's some pretty big names on this list!

It really gets me how little we hear about diabetes in people except as a epidemic, of sorts. These famous people, some of which are actively advocating for diabetes, are never attached with the disease in the world view. I mean I had no clue that Halle Berry had it, and it blows my mind that she's dealing with the same thing I am.

Patti LaBelle is not, and don't bring up Halle Berry. She claims to have "weaned" herself off insulin and transformed herself into a Type 2.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but Halle Berry is not dealing with the same thing you or any of us are. She claims she is "no longer a Type 1" and has "weaned (herself) off insulin." She claims that by "taking care of (herself) and eaing a proper diet and exercising regularly, she is "now a Type 2." I think the only thing we can call Halle Berry is "insane."

what the hell? mental much! If only it worked that way, then no one would have type one. Thats the most messed up thing ive ever heard. someone should punch her in the face.

Delta Burke has Type 2, but one of her co-stars in "Designing Women" had Type 1. She's the blonde one, but I can't remember her name.

Adam Morrison, a forward in the NBA who was just traded to the Lakers, is a type 1 diabetic.  Several articles about him on the web.  Here is a link to a good one http://www.diabeteshealth.com/read/2006/12/01/4928/adam-morrison-above-the-rim-with-basketball-and-diabetes-control/

Good luck with your project.

How about drummer Tommy Lee from the original Motley Crue. He's so hot!

Well, he's not "famous" famous, but he's won national/global fitness model competitions!

Check it out, he has Type 1 and is a Diabetic Fitness Model!

Check this out, he's pretty cool!

Yeah, I did a quick Google search for "Tommy Lee" + "diabetes" and the results all said he has Type 2.

Elliott Yamin

Halle Berry is not type 1..Type 1 is insulin dependent. PERIOD.

I saw an article saying Tommy Lee and Brett Michaels are both Type 1.

I also remember Tommy Lee saying in the past that he supports JDRF because they are all about type 1.

My resources may be incorrect, however.

The blonde lady in "designing women" is Jean Smart, she's a type 1
