Do You Eat Halloween Candy?

Yumm.... If it involves Peanut Butter and Chocolate it will last for a few minutes before I disappear it.

I'm the same way!

As Charlie Brown would say:  Good grief.  Since I think I was the first one to point out the "cheat" thing, I feel I need to be a bit more clear.

DNH, I honestly thought, from the phrasing and tone of your posts, that you were not someone who was living with the disease, but merely someone exchanging information about it.  To me, you sounded like a robot.  Now, don't get me wrong, I love robots - I mean, who doesn't?  They make me breakfast - save me from aliens - impersonate puppies.  What's not to love?  (By the way, that was me trying to be funny; I hope you don't take it as mean.)  I have read your bio and parts of your website, and I get it now.  I apologize for sounding so offended - I wasn't.  I was just hoping for some better wording!

Unfortunately, and as I'm sure you personally know from living with this disease, like we all do - the challenges and difficulties we face can be daunting.  It can make us bitter, and cynical, and downright defensive.  A comment taken the wrong way can be blown out of proportion, and I think that may be a bit of what happened here.  In the future, I am going to discipline myself to look into the person's backstory a bit first, before I jump to reply.  I can be pretty snarky at times, and I'm afraid your post hit me at one of those times.

Truce?

(In Home Simpson voice) Reese's Peanut Butter Cups.

I love those things too.

Of course I eat Halloween candy!  My favorite is the half price stuff on Nov 1.

I have never ate halloween candy in my 5 years with diabetes... that has been my choice and i think i made that choice because i was always high and didnt feel like dealing with and even bigger high.

I always have and always will. I don't care. It's a night to live a little and have fun. Splurge. Open up and let the candy and fun in. I love Halloween Candy. I really like the candy pumpkins that you can get with the Candy Corn. They are so good and the will bring your sugar up fast.

hell yes i do. i'm not a craver of sweets, but halloween candy usually comes with terrible jokes. and that i definitely like. sometimes, the candy isn't so bad either :op
