So I know we've all read about the devastation in Haiti, and it just came across my mind that I'm sure there are diabetics in Haiti without supplies. Does anyone know if there's anything being done to help raise money to send insulin and supplies or anything to those that may need it in Haiti? I can't imagine what life would be like without the meds and kit that I use on a daily basis, and I guess I just take them for granted.
There is. The International Diabetes Federation is collecting donations and has already sent supplies to help over 300,000 diabetic haitians.

No prob :)
I'm glad something is being done for the diabetics there. When I heard of the earthquakes that was the first thing that i thought of, I honestly do not know how I would be able to manage with out my supplies.
that was the first thing i thought when i saw the devestation on TV too 'oh no, what if any of those people are diabetic and have lost their insulin in the wreckage?' I also thought about what if we ever had to go through something like that and what would we do and how would our son survive if we got separated from him? I am glad to hear that something is being done for them though..
