so this week ive had like 5 lows which is 1) a lot more than normal and yet my activity and routine hasn't changed so it's been annoying. and 2) i haven't felt a single one of them i only knew i had them because i had tested. These lows ranged between 50 and 65. I'm concerned as to why I'm not feeling them anymore. Normally I can tell right away, especially if I drop drastically.
Anyone have any ideas as to why this could be happening?
If it keeps going on, I might have to make an appointment to see my endo. I don't wanna have a severe low and something worse happen.
Maybe it's the meter. 50 + or - 20%= 30 to 70. You might have just been at the edge. Who knows don.t you just love this. Wait I know just maybe you were holding your tongue or the meter wrong!!! LOL just kidding, hope everything is OK!!!
It's not uncommon to stop feeling your lows after a while, esp if you've been having a lot lately. I find it scary, too! I'd check in w/ your endo like you're planning. But, what I've found that helps is, 1) to run somewhat higher for about 2 weeks so my body becomes readjusted and notices to lows sooner, and 2) test more often to be safe. Going back on a continuous glucose monitor has also helped my peace of mind. Good luck getting rid of the lows, too!
Kidding aside Sarah has got the good advice. Run high (that still sounds so bad to me lol) to readjust the low feeling. It does suck I woke up the other day and was 41. At least I woke up.

What Sarah has suggested is a very common way to restore your hypo awareness. You may not like the idea of running high for awhile, but being able to feel those lows again will make all the higher blood sugar worthwhile. Then you might need to work on lowering your basal insulin so you will stop having so many lows.
The more often you go low, the less easy it is to feel it before it happens. It's as simple as that.
Like, have you ever been really high-- I mean 300 or higher-- and done a correction, maybe exercised some, did as much as you could to bring it down, and then feel low a few hours later? And test and be say 100?
When you've been running high, you'll feel your lows at higher numbers (possibly in range). When you've been running low, you'll feel your lows at lower numbers, potentially in the 40s or 50s.
Try getting back in the swing of things-- back off on your IC ratios or something for a bit, just a little, to stop the lows from happening so frequently. Then, as your weekly average bg increases, you should begin to feel your lows when you're 60 or 70 again.

OK, maybe sarcasm was the wrong word ... joking tone? Don't worry, people made the same jokes to me in high school about "being high" and that was the 90's... "Shooting up" was another one.

I have been having the same problem. I'm not noticing my lows other than a really empty feeling deep in my stomach, which i often mistake for just being hungry. I have gone down to 27 without one symptom. but like everyone else is saying, I fixed it by running myself in the low 200s for about a week and 1/2.
