I'm meeting with my doctor this afternoon to discuss switching from the Deltec Cozmo to an Animas Ping. It just occurred to me - what do I do with the old pump? Is it like cell phones, where you can recycle your old one?
Usually the pump companies take them back. Ask your Animas rep to see if they will take it or they might have an idea where to take it.
If the company doesn't want it back try your local E waste center.

Sometimes companies even give discounts for giving your old pump to them
That would be sweet. I don't know that mine would be worth anything though... Deltec announced this past spring that they're no longer making insulin pumps! :(
When I switched to the Ping using the upgrade in part of getting the discount I had to mail the old pump back. Your Animas rep. should tell you what to do. Especially if you are using their upgrade program.
