The Questions

When i tell someone new the i have diabetes the one thing that i cannot stand is the questions. Like what that or oh i now what the is it when you can't have sugar... but the one that make me mad the most is where do you put your needlethingy... its non of their businessand its embarrassingtelling them where it is. is anyone else annoyed by the questions?

Part of having diabetes is that you become the poster child for all things diabetic.  I don't know of any way to avoid other's questions.  Try to come up with short answers like...

"I can eat anything a non-diabetic can, just have to adjust my insulin for it."

"You can do an infusion set in your stomach, legs, or even arm."

And always let people know, "If I start acting weird, get me a coke or some sugar."
