Sand

Okay Alyssa,

I've been to the beach and back. I did pay special attention to my feet and the effect of the sand. I didn't really have any issues other than the shell thing I mentioned before (tiny cuts, scrapes from them). I tried to wear my sandals while in the water and it wasn't such a good idea after all. I found out the shells hurt even more because they were now stuck in my sandals, so I didn't continue to wear them. I didn't want to buy water shoes for a week and never wear them again. I did get red spots from the sand being so hot though.  I would stand up on my beach towel and sprint to the ocean, LOL. I probably looked a little strange doing that but who cares I didn't want to burn my feet ; ) Over all I still enjoy the sand for the most part.

I love the sand and the beach. Doesnt bother me at all. Was down for the weekend and the ocean temp was 80! Thats warm..

i have extremely sensitive feet. when i was little, my mom used to have to open the packages of socks to make sure they didn't have the stitch across the front of the toes, cuz i would throw fits within minutes of having them on my feet to be allowed to take them off. i don't throw fits now, but i still have to have the ones stitched at the top of the feet instead of across the front of the tip of my toes because it bugs me.

i dont mind sand, but i hate having wet feet and getting sand on them. its the sand between my toes that drives me nuts. if my feet are dry and the sand isn't sticking to them, i'm fine.

I love the beach! Sand is the best way to get a free pedicure!

Me, too! In first grade, my teacher was concerned and asked my mom why I came to school with bright red eyes every morning, and my mom told her it was because I had been crying for an hour about wearing socks. They were so awful!

I've found ones that work now, though.

And I LOVE sand. Even if it's too hot, it's like a challenge to see how long i can walk, and then i walk on the wet sand with the ocean washing over my feet, and then i come out of the ocean with sand still stuck to my feet, and when i wash it off, my feet are so smooth! I grew up in utah, so i really appreciate the ocean.

I love sand. I love walking in the sand or just standing where the water reaches my ankles and slowly letting my feet sink. (=

Anyone else ever notice that when you're on the beach, you never realize how far you've walked until you have to walk back?

OK, I take this post back a little bit, because I'm fairly sure it's now become a difference of ocean-sand vs. lakes, etc. I adore the beaches as well as the sand along the ocean; I've been literally running for miles along it and the sand doesn't bother me a bit. Perhaps my feet are too numb from that freezin' water to notice, but either way I've discovered a new love for sand, haha!

But the sand at lakes, for example, have always seemed to rough to me in the past. But the ocean sand? Perfection :)

while on vacation, i went to a beach. i only got up to my waist before my mom was telling me and my sisters to come back because we were so far out. the sand was much better than the one we usually go to at home. the sand was so smooth. the one at home, the sand is definatly not soft and smooth but it doesnt bother my feet. the beach we went to on vacation bothered one of my sisters feet though

hAhA! :) I LOVE SAND!!!!! and the beach, it's one of my favorite places to go!
