Preschool for my daughter with type 1?

I suppose I am lucky in this respect, because my son was attending a special education nursery school already for speech issues

There is a full time nurse there who is so great with my son, Peter, who just turned 5 and was dx only 6 months ago. She calls me

all the time and I can call her every day if I want to and she's great with it--  Another option is to get your child into a public school

pre-k program. Public schools all have nurses, and they are really very willing to help the kids.

Hi Kelly and everyone elso and  thank you for your replies.

I live in Anne Arundel County...Crofton MD.  I know that if I moved to the city, I would have more access to resources.   I have started to look into that, however, being that I am totally dependant on state financially and living in a house my dad owns, not sure I would be able to make such a move.   I am stuck, just like I mentioned earlier. What are Intermediate Units?  Because there are not any Head Start programs in my neck of the woods. There is like one in Annapolis but it is about 25 minutes from me, so you are right the commute does not make sense.   I was wondering Kelly what kind of school is your son in????
