So I know that I've posted this at least 2 years in a row now :)
I have once again signed up to take a frigid dip in the Chesapeake Bay on January 29, 2011. This is the 15th Annual Polar Bear Plunge and it is held by the MD State Police and all proceeds benefit Special Olympics Maryland.
This is my 5th year participating in this cool event and once again I am out on the path to hit my donation goal ($1500). "What's in it for me?" you ask? Well, you get the satisfaction of knowing you contributed to a very worthy cause. Did I mention your donations are tax deductible? Also, you get to enjoy (or cringe at) pictures of me running around Sandy Point State Park (in Maryland) in next to nothing at the end of January. It's totally worth it!
Below you will find the link to my personal donation page. All online donations are secure. If you are not comfortable donating online, there is a link on the page for a "Donation Form" which you may print out and mail in your contribution that way.
If anyone has any questions, please don't hesitate to ask me. Thanks again for those who have already donated and thanks in advance for your contributions and support.
I'd donate to get you to go through the waxing process again =P i think it's funny when guys get waxed and whine like babies, then turn around and mock a chick for not getting waxed more often =P
With 9 days until I take the dip into the balmy and pristine waters of the Chesapeake Bay, I am nearly at my goal of $1500!
So first off, I wanted to thank everyone who has contributed thus far. As always, I would not be able to do this without your kindness and generosity. Second, we are almost at the goal of $1500! I am hoping that this e-communication finds you in warm spirits and that you will consider to contribute to the worthy cause of Special Olympics Maryland and help me reach and surpass my fundraising goal!
Pat, just wanted to let you know that JDRF has a program where you can set up personal fundraising pages and accept donations. They money goes right to JDRF and it is a JDRF hosted site. It is called Team JDRF and can be found at www.jdrf.org/teamjdrf .... you may want to consider it for future fundraising programs!

That would be great, except he's raising money for a cause outside of diabetes. He's doing it for the Special Olympics which is another great cause! I have family who participate in Special Olympics every year (who knew my cousin was such a great bowler?), so I support them. It's okay to support both diabetes research and other causes! :o)

If JDRF has anything other than Walks then I am all for it. My donors, for the most part, won't donate unless I'm doing something similar to jumping into freezing water in the middle of Winter.

I donate in hopes I get to pick his skimpy costume one year. I'm still holding out for a sequined speedo with a big "C" on it or assless chaps.
